Caravelle Powerboats under new ownership

If you’re in the market for a “cost conscious” boat, then Caravelle Powerboats going under new ownership is good news to you. They will be specializing in 18′-23′ inboard boats.

The brand was purchased by Eugene Sak and Duane Sak of Florence, Alabama. They are known for their elevator and metal fabrication businesses.

Bottom line, it’s nice to see a boat company going forward with production and not closing their doors. The more options the better, especially if you are in the market for a value priced boat.

Go fast boats terrorize housewife

In2Deep from Austin Boat Forums posted this entertaining video of a slew of go https://www.acheterviagrafr24.com/achat-viagra-en-ligne-belgique/ fast boats ripping down a narrow channel on the way to the Florida Keys. There’s some seriously excellent boats in this https://www.acheterviagrafr24.com/achat-viagra-cialis-levitra/ video. I love the boats, but I also think it is pretty entertaining listening to this old lady freaking out about these boats cruising by. Apparently they were having a quiet day fishing in this channel and it was abruptly interrupted by these guys on their way to Key West.

Great lake destinations: Lake Powell

Tony Ferris from C-Brats Online! has posted a really great set of pictures from his trip to Lake Powell with his C-Dory boat. Some really fantastic photos of rain and the resulting waterfalls coming off the cliffs. I am sure the heavy rain can make for some hairy times on the lake, but it definitely pays off in awesome pictures.

Checkmate adds 55 MPH 20 ft model

Boatermouth is reporting that Checkmate is adding a 20 ft V-bottom model powered by a 115 HP outboard capable of speeds reaching 55 MPH. It will cost you $29,995 for the new 2000 BXR. More details are coming soon. This should be a fairly inexpensive way to get on the water and go fast. Doug Smith, Checkmate’s owner compares the model to a Bayliner:

“With the 115-hp engine, the boat runs 55 mph and gives the buyer a real performance-boating experience,” said Smith. “If you put the same buyer in a Bayliner, the boat runs 35 mph—it’s a slug. And when he goes to sell it, it won’t be worth anything.”

Eliminator Boats files Chapter 11 Restructuring

For those of you who don’t know, Eliminator Boats is a popular custom performance boat manufacturer from California. It has been rumored for a while, but it looks like Eliminator Boats is having to file for bankruptcy to stay afloat. A quote from Bob Leach, Eliminator’s owner, sums up the situation:

“It’s not anything we like doing, but on the other hand the option not to it is fatal,” said Bob Leach, the owner and founder of the Perris Valley, Calif., company, which in its best years produced more than 300 boats. “I would rather pay everybody every dollar we owe, but it’s just not in the cards at the moment.

Bayliner lands on top of Dodge Ram’s cab

New feature! Dirtiest of the Dirty

0 Ever feel bad for having a dirty boat? Feel like you should take better care of your boat? Well, there’s plenty of boat owners out there that make you look like Mr. Clean of boat upkeep. This new feature, The Dirtiest of the Dirty is meant to make you feel better about your middle of the road cleanliness habits.

Today’s example is a Bayliner deck boat that is completely unloved. The most glaring example is the colony of marine life growing off the prop and drive unit. The rest of the hull receives the same amount of neglect as the drive unit. I would imagine if this boat starts, it MIIIIIIGHT have a slight vibration when the prop starts to spin! Next, check out the vinyl. I would have to guess the last time this boat saw a cover was when it was leaving the boat dealer.

Tell your friends, love your boats!
